Worship and Sunday School Hours

Sunday Worship is at 10:30 a.m. staring Sept. 4, 2016. Sunday School will resume September 11 from 9:45 – 10:15 a.m.

      1. PW is once again asking for your support for the Tools and Blankets offering through Church World Service. Contributions help families around the world recover from disasters and displacement. They help people gain the resources and develop the skills necessary to build or rebuild sustainable lives and communities. Examples include sending blankets to disaster torn areas, providing gardening tools and materials, sewing machines and emergency food packages all over the world. – Thanks for your support of the Tools and Blankets Offering.
      2. The theme for Wednesday Night Live this week is “At Rest in Green Meadows.” The snack will be provided by Catrina Pullen. The kitchen team consists of Paula Nuckles, Evelyn Carlson, Lolla Ballard and Charity Duke.
      3. Carol Heflin’s ushering crew is up for October 2.
      4. The “Women Hold Up Half the Sky” Leadership Getaway is Friday, Oct. 7 at First Presbyterian Church, 100 North Franklin Street in Danville, Illinois. Registration fee is $50. More information is available in the church office.
      5. Better Together Interfaith Group at Monmouth College is collecting canned food donations as a homecoming activity. Donations will go to Jamieson Community Center. They would appreciate your support and donations. Please drop off canned foods to the church office by 10 AM this Friday.
      6. Faith United Presbyterian Church, WIU Jazz Program, and Monmouth College’s Better Together Interfaith Group will hold an Interfaith Jazz Gathering at Dahl Chapel on Monmouth College campus on October 7th at 5:30 pm. The topic is Faith and Culture in Young Adulthood.
